This activity-based workshop is an introductory step-by-step guide to performing a gender analysis in practice. It aims to equip professionals with skills in the design, delivery and evaluation of gender sensitive programs and services. The workshop covers:

  •  Gender key concepts
  • Overview of the social determinants of health •
  • Gender analysis framework
  • Examination of data from the real world including an introduction to the Health Atlas
  • Gender sensitive program planning

This workshop is designed for professionals working in a range of areas including health promotion, social policy, community development, health and support services, women’s health, community health and local and state government to better plan their services to respond to the particular needs of women.
