The forum and workshop provide an opportunity to build your skills in gender mainstreaming within strategic health plans and frameworks. The morning forum and panel discussion will introduce attendees to gender analysis and its impact on strategic and regional planning. Panellists will speak to their experiences using applied gender analysis in three theme areas, including leadership and governance, human resources and management, and program and service delivery. The afternoon workshop will develop participants’ skills in conducting a gender analysis. The workshop will use the Victorian Public Health and Wellbeing Plan 2015-2019 as a case study to assist in developing Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plans and Integrated Health Promotion Plans that meet and respond to the diverse and unique needs of women and men in Melbourne’s west. The forum and workshop are free of charge, and no previous knowledge or work in gender analysis or gender equity is required. Spaces are limited so registration is a must. You can register just for the morning forum or for the full day with the workshop.
If you work in community services, policy and planning or human resources, or if you are a part of a leadership team, this event will assist you to consider the impact that gender has on your work, the work of your team, and your community.
