This one-day interactive course aims to introduce participants to some of the methodological and ethical challenges involved in researching family violence. Attendees will gain confidence in addressing this sensitive issue within their research, and ensuring that participants’ safety and wellbeing is protected at all times. The course will focus on particular populations (e.g. women, children, elderly) or areas of interest within the context of family violence to be determined in advance by course participants. We will use practical examples to illustrate effective ways to conduct projects in these areas. Participants will be asked to bring along a project to workshop during the course.
